East Village Boys Pre-Pride Blow-Out

-photos by Paul Gunn

East Village Boys threw their very first party at The Hose on Thursday and the scene was steamy and sexy! Gio Black Peter performed, painted in the National Anthem by Scooter LaForge, and there were DJ sets by yours truly, REALLY house DJ Paleboy, and the wonderful DJ Saheer Umar. I feel so lucky to have been a part of this amazing party. Thanks EVB! Read the whole story and see all the fantastic photos at eastvillageboys.com.

Genesis P-Orridge Of Throbbing Gristle Makes An Appearance At REALLY!

The legendary Genesis P-Orridge of the seminal industrial band Throbbing Gristle made an appearance at REALLY! on Wednesday night. We are beyond flabbergasted that a music icon of this stature would want anything to do with us! She actually hung out for quite awhile, taking in the debauchery surrounding her. Thank you, Genesis! We hope to see you again.

Bushwick Pride March

The Annual Bushwick Pride March is on Saturday, June 20th at noon. Meet at Make The Road NY's Bushwick offices, 301 Grove Street. Barbecue at the Children's Grove Park after the march. Should be a fun day!
"Join us at 12:00 pm to march against oppression and discrimination. Also to show our Pride! Most importantly, it's in a community where we need to stand against injustice and demand that Bushwick and other communities in Brooklyn welcome LGBTQ residents." -maketheroad.org

REALLY? in the Press!

REALLY? got profiled in today's issue of the Brooklyn Daily Eagle thanks to Brooklyn writer Casey Fitzpatrick, founder of OutAboutBrooklyn.
"Scot Bowman, founder of the web site The Sky Report, was the only gay staffer when he started working at Northeast Kingdom. “A year or so later, Jeff Hnilicka got hired and I suddenly had a queer partner in crime,” explains Bowman. “One night, he suggested we start a gay night, especially since Bushwick had nothing of the sort.” Kingdom was down with the idea so the two boys started planning, relying heavily on word-of-mouth and social networking sites to promote the event, appropriately titled, REALLY? A Queer Night in Bushwick." -Brooklyn Daily Eagle

WE HAVE BAND

We Have Band are a trio from London who create insanely infectious dance jams. The track "You Came Out" has such a great bass line it's impossible not to get hooked. Stream it below or check out the brand new video. Also, get their sick cover of the Pet Shop Boys classic "West End Girls" here.
