Sandra Bernhard to Speak at NYC Rally

RSVP here.

RALLY TO PROTECT HOMELESS LGBT YOUTH
MONDAY JUNE 14TH, 6:30PM, UNION SQUARE

Sandra Bernhard and Lt. Dan Choi to speak before thousands at Union Square Rally In Support Of Homeless LGBT Youth

As LGBT youth find the courage to come out of the closet at younger ages, thousands are being rejected by their families and forced out of their homes. Most homeless LGBT youth describe having suffered violence and harassment in their homes due to their sexual orientations and gender identities. As many as 40% of the homeless youth in the United States are LGBT. Homeless LGBT youth are subjected to violence and harassment on the streets and in mainstream youth shelters. They face tremendous risk of HIV infection, drug addiction, and criminalization.

This phenomenon of thousands of LGBT youth being forced from their homes due to homophobia, stripped of economic support, and made to endure homelessness represents the most terrible cruelty and intolerance currently directed at the LGBT community. Any community has an obligation to protect it's youth when they are being hurt and attacked. We call on the LGBT Community to stand up for our youth suffering on the streets, and advocate that they receive the protection and care that all young people need and deserve.

The Gays of Summer!

Preview - LADY GAGA - Alejandro (Music Video)

Oh my god this is gonna be sooo hot!!! I cannot fucking wait. The full video is expected to premiere on Monday. You know I'll be there.

On the subject of Gaga, why were her sunglasses crooked throughout the entire Larry King interview and why did she come off as doing her best Madonna circa 1990? Thoughts? Regardless, I loved every second of it. Check it below.

Ewan McGregor on the Cover of Out

Ewan McGregor, the fantastic actor known for revealing more than just his acting chops onscreen, plays a gay man in love with con man Jim Carrey in the new movie I Love You Phillip Morris. The movie opens March 26th in the US. Read this excerpt from the current issue of Out Magazine, where Ewan discusses the trouble the film has had getting released.

"Despite the fact that it stars perhaps the most bankable star in Hollywood -- the worldwide gross of Carrey’s movies is more than $4 billion dollars -- and, opposite him, its most talented, I Love You Phillip Morris, has languished undistributed domestically for more than a year, even after a strong showing at its Sundance debut in 2009. “At Sundance everyone assumed it would be snapped up,” says McGregor, “but it wasn’t.” Perhaps one reason is that the central character is an unlovable (or uneasily loved) sociopathic scammer. But a more likely reason is that in cells, on bunks, on boats, before sunsets, after sunsets, on divans, over ottomans, without panning away or dissolving to white, the two men kiss, fondle, fuck, blow, suck, hold hands, dance, murmur, and eye. In short, they act like lovers do, and, because both Morris and Russell are openly gay men and their gayness seems not to trouble them in the slightest, this is a dicey commercial proposition."

Johnny Weir Dazzles Olympics In Pink and Black

Johnny Weir didn't let the "fur" controversy distract his work in the men's short program in Vancouver tonight. His performance was full of fierce confidence and uninhibited androgyny, something that really kicked the entertainment factor of the Olympics up a notch. Dressed in a pink and black get up that many on twitter are comparing to Adam Lambert. In my opinion, Weir is a bit more interesting than Lambert. So bummed he didn't place too high, but quite the performance indeed! Sassy.

Lady Gaga Pays Tribute to Alexander McQueen

Lady Gaga, wearing one of her most outrageous get-ups yet, paid tribute to the late Alexander McQueen at the Brit Awards tonight. Gaga opened with a beautiful piano rendition of "Telephone" before snapping into an absolutely bizarre performance art interpretation of "Dance in the Dark". This performance is so bold for a huge pop star these days. I'm impressed.

LADY GAGA @ ELTON JOHN Rock the Grammy's

Lady Gaga opened the Grammy's this year with the theatricality we have all come to know and love from America's greatest current pop star. The performance - a medley of "Poker Face", "Speechless" and "Your Song" - featured a riveting duet and duel of the keys with Elton John.

Susan Sarandon Joins Of Montreal Onstage, Spanks Pigmen, WTF?

This crazy appearance occurred last night during an Of Montreal concert at the Highline Ballroom in Manhattan. Susan Sarandon has always been super cool, but this is just amazing! Beyonce's sister Solange Knowles also turned up during the set to perform a duet of the Jackson 5's "I Want You Back". Oh how I wish I had been there!

Fever Ray Tops Lady Gaga in Weird Factor

Karin Dreijer of Fever Ray/The Knife and frequent collaborator with Royksopp managed to outweird Lady Gaga when she accepted an award at a recent awards show in Sweden. I find this utterly brilliant.

Justin Timberlake & Matt Morris - Hallelujah

The highlight of Friday night's Hope For Haiti telethon was certainly not Madonna's performance of "Like A Prayer", but rather openly gay singer-songwriter Matt Morris' stirring duet with Justin Timberlake. The duo performed a cover of the Leonard Cohen classic "Hallelujah". Morris' debut album When Everything Breaks Open was just released on Tennman Records.

John Mayer On Masturbating

"I am the new generation of masturbator. I've seen it all. Before I make coffee, I've seen more butt holes than a proctologist does in a week. I mean, I have masturbated myself out of serious problems in my life. The phone doesn't pick up because I'm masturbating. And I have excused myself at the oddest times so as to not make mistakes. If Tiger Woods only knew when to jerk off. It has a true market value, like gold bullion. First of all, I don't jerk off because I'm horny. I'm sort of half-chick. It¹s like District 9. I can fire alien weapons. I can insert a tampon. No, I do it because I want to take a brain bath. It's like a hot whirlpool for my brain, in a brain space that is 100 percent agreeable with itself." - rolling stone
